Terry Kirk, RN, MSN, Ed.D., Director of Nursing at Houston Northwest Medical Center is part of an elite group of nurses who will be honored this year by the Texas Nurses Association District 9, that be the A? Nurses outstanding 2010A ????. Kirk is one of 20 nurses at the annual dinner of Nursing 20th Day and award ceremony for mid-November instead of recognizing. He was nominated by his peers and colleagues as exemplary registered nurse in the Houston area.

Kirk served as Chief Nursing Officer Houston Northwest Medical Center since February 2006. His career has held positions of increasing responsibility at several institutions Tenet Healthcare Corporation in more than 32 years. Kirk has a Bachelor of Nursing at the University at Albany, State University of New York and master’s thesis? S degree in nursing administration from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. It also has a doctorate in health education from Nova Southeastern University.Kirk is a member of the American Organization of Nurse Company, Texas Nurses Association and Texas Organization of Nurse Executives and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society for Nursing. He is a member of Drexel Universityâ? S Advisory Board for their nursing PhD program. Kirk is also an active partnership with Lone Star? Texas Nurses Association District 9 includes Harris, Liberty, Fort Bend, Waller, Montgomery, San Jacinto, Walker and Trinity counties.
