Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and GenomeQuest Work initiative in personalized medicine

Westborough, MA (Vocus) 13 October 2010

GenomeQuest, Inc., a global leader in the order of the data management and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), the teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School, today announced a two-year collaboration to whole genome analysis (WGA) – to develop applications for personalized medicine.

The agreement will initially provide BIDMC? s Department of Pathology applications with newly developed in order to use doctors and patients to make predictive genetic information.

â? The demand for accurate and careful clinical genomics is the ultimate in personalized medicine, â? says BIDMC Chief of Pathology Jeffrey Saffitz, MD, PhD. â? In partnership with GenomeQuest, our pathology department will be able to perform genomic analysis and cooperation with partners from industry, without heavy investment in information technology. The end result will be deep refine and improve patient diagnosis, treatment and outcomes.â p> ???? GenomeQuest provide genome-wide data management and analysis for all â? Already, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration [FDA] has more than 30 drugs with the guidelines approved for the treatment of biomarkers. We believe that our cooperation combined with an industry leader in innovation and delivery of BIDMC as a major breakthrough in the development in the areas of genomics and its rewards in the bank at the> ????
