Question : Caribbean islands in the last week of December – good weather?
Me and my wife are planning to go to Caribbean islands for 5 days(absolutely no idea which ones are the best) . Our activities of interest are snorkeling, get wet in the beach, romantic dinners and the place has to be decent with god guest house or hotels.
Our option right now is Barbados and Bahamas. Do you think 5 days in Barbados is too less or more? and where all can we drive from Barbados to the other islands with great views and awesome weather

There are no bridges connecting the islands, so you cannot drive from Barbados to other islands.
Barbados is a beautiful island with fantastic photographic spots (views), and the weather should be perfect at that time of year. You’ll find more timeshare rentals than guest houses, there are some extremely nice hotels (also extremely expensive). 5 to 7 days is a good amount of time to spend there. Below is a link to a very romantic restaurant for a special night. A romantic daytime picnic spot is Farley Hill.

Barbados is my first choice. The weather is great around that time of the year with lots of sunshine wit lovely beaches in a safe environment. Five days is good but next time you should consider extending the time. The island is great for snorkeling and we have a variety of accommodation. However, you will not be able to drive to other islands.

Both of these are great. Good weather in both, but the Bahamas will be a bit colder, the sea as well. Air temps between 20 and 26C, water about 22C. As the other people said, you cannot drive from Barbados to any other islands. In the Bahamas there are fast ferries you can take if you want to visit other Bahamian islands, or small planes. I have been in Barbados in December and really enjoyed it.
