Can mortgage lenders find out my balance on credit cards?
Question : Can mortgage lenders find out my balance on credit cards?
I am curious as to whether mortgage lenders have access to the balance on a lenders credit cards? I know they can access credit reports that inform them whether you have made any late payments but wanted to know if they have access to information to let them see how much you currently have borrowed on your credit cards? Same goes for current account balances?

yes, they can get all of that info. if you have made very recent payments or charges, those won’t be reflected. if you have too much credit card debt you will be asked to pay it off. you can do it before you buy your house, or you can pay it off with all all of the charges for your new house and loan (in escrow). good luck.

Yes they can. Also anyone you owe a debt to can. Your credt report also shows the balances.
