Question : Best gated communities, Tucson area w built in social activites for single 51yr female? What makes it special?
Must move to a dry, warm climate. Want a 2bed/2 bath contemparay home with views. Relocating by myself. I don’t know anyone in the area. Looking for a safe, quiet, easy- paced neighborhood with friendly, intelligent, artistic and/or creative people within a radius of about 25 miles from Tucson. Not interested in golf. Love swimming. Want active social schedule built into community design. I am 51 so I don’t want a place where the average age is 60 or more. 40 plus would be perfect. Want a development that is complete in construction so that there are no visual/ environmental surprises after my purchase. (I want: what I see is what I get). Looking for a community with other singles, female and male. Want to be able to make new girlfriends as well as possibly date. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Look in Green Valley or Sahaurita. Yes, there are older people in Green Valley, but you would be surprised at how many are in their 50s and 60s. Both areas are growing fast, since most people are from somewhere else, it’s easy to make friends, the crime rate is very low, the GVR is outstanding…I could go on and on. If you want a condo, check out the new ones being built at Canoa Ranch. If you want a house, there is Canoa Ranch, Quail Creek and lots more. Sahaurita expects to grow 4 times its size within the next 12 years. Good luck.
