Question : Is it legal to video tape someone in your house in California?
My Apt landlord has a history of ripping of people when the move out for absurd reasons.Since i have rented the apt and it is still my home during the final inspection, Can i video tape the final inspection of my apt even if my landlord doesnt agree for it to be video tapped.

In your home in California yes—unless video obtained could be considered sexual in nature and obtained for such purposes without consent. It is not a crime—however, its admissibility in a court of law is dependent on many variables.
So yes, go right ahead. Just don’t video tape the landlord in the bathroom if he/she has to go during the inspection. Unless you get the okay.
