Question : I am finally moving please help me?
I am 23 with a 5 year old. We plan to move to NYC from Massachusetts by January so that I can finish up school.

I have never moved before and I need some help. Could you tell me what I should be doing every month up until January to prepare myself to move. For example when should I start apartment hunting, calling the movers etc… I do not know the basics.

* I have a housing voucher which allows me to move out of state.

Can you help me fill in the blanks?

There is no such thing as a housing voucher that allows you to move out of state. You need to understand that, or you will lose it ASAP.

Live where you live, and continue school part-time, or however you can.

But don’t go to school if you don’t need to. Your son is small, so figure out how you & he will make it work, then figure out everything else.
