Question : what comes with a warranty when you buy a car?
I just bought a used car from a dealer, with an extended warranty, after i got home with the car for a couple days the paint on the door started to peel off, it looked like someone had glued it so i wouldnt see it, should the dealer fix the paint if i have a warranty on the car? or do i have to fix it myself?

It should be stated whether it is covered in your extended warranty policy. If you are not sure, simply call the dealer to make sure.

I’ve always purchased an extended auto warranty for every car I’ve owned in the last 10 years. I used to get them from the dealer, but lately it’s less expensive to get them from a auto warranty company. http://www.autoadviceonline.com/Warranty-Quote.html They offer free quotes, so it’s easy to see how much one would cost for your vehicle.

Used car warranties are only there for mechanical breakdowns. Cosmetic issues (paint & interior trim for example), regular maintenance items (tires, filters, fluids, brake pads, etc) and abuse are not covered. With that said, the bigger issue is why is the paint peeling. Is it a factory issue or the result of an accident? A reputable dealer will likely work with you on it or share the cost with you. Did you get a Carfax before you bought it? Always have a reputable mechanic look at your car before you buy it, if you aren’t knowledgeable about cars. Hope this helps!
