I got a no insurance ticket today, didnt realize policy had expired. Can I get it dismissed if I get insurance the same day as the ticket was written out? quick answers greatly appreciated

In most states, no.
It can only be dismissed if you reinstated your insurance before getting the ticket.
I had the same experience. Believe me, you’ll never forget again. For something like 3 years straight I had to send in proof of insurance every month to the state to be able to keep my driver’s license(once I got it back). I had my license suspended for 3 weeks, because not only had my policy lapsed, it was because I was because I slid on the ice and hit someone.
It would be up to the Judge. A possible deciding factor would be how long your insurance was expired. Technically, you’re guilty. Getting insurance after the citation would be considered after the fact.
