Question : Can i live with a relative and work in florida for 1 year and then go to college and be considered a resident?
I’m going to be high school senior in ohio and i was wondering if after i graduate i move down to florida to live with some relatives and work there for a year. Could i go to college and be considered a resident?? I’m talking about going to a community college for 2 years and then go to another for 2 more. Please let me know

Most states have min age requirements like 21 or 24 years old AND requirements about being financially self supporting (living with relatives doesn’t make you self supporting).
That may work if you are 18 or older and are working full time and supporting yourself and are not taken on your parents’ taxes, have a FL driver’s license and vote there. By the way, Ohio State U takes people in January who they would reject if they applied for Sept.
