What are some good areas in Broward County, Florida to raise a family?
Question : What are some good areas in Broward County, Florida to raise a family?
I’m doing research for a possible move to south florida and want to look at good communities to raise a family in. I have a 4 year old and a 2 year old and 1 more on the way. I understand all of the issues associated with property taxes and homeowner’s insurance in South Florida, but please feel free to throw in your two cents on that as well.

I would consider the southwest Gulf Coast of Florida, particularly Venice. Small town feel, gorgeous beaches, great schools, 15 minutes to Sarasota, 2 hours to Orlando. Perfect for jobs and family fun.

Much of it depends on your income. I enjoy Weston, great schools, very clean, great community, close to major freeways but not crowded. If you want to live closer to Miami I would take a look at Coral Gables.
