Question : Why are home “loan officers” so ghetto?
Isn’t there any minimum requirements?

We applied for a home loan online and I keep getting the most ghetto sounding people calling me.

Is that why the housing market is in bad shape?

First things first. The Internet is full of scammers who use it as their preferred method of shafting folks.

One of my requirements when working with a buyer client is that the buyer must use a local lender. Why? Because many on line lenders don’t understand some of the restrictive state lending guidelines for my state and the loan will likely never get closed….meaning I’ve wasted a lot of time and energy and my client has likely lost their earnest money and inspection costs.

Do yourself a favor and find a local bank, credit union or mortgage broker to help you get a loan. They are in a better position to guide you through the process and the customs of your community.
