American Society of Plastic Surgeons Names New President Doctors Seattle

Philippe Haeck, MD, a partner of Plastic Surgery Associates of Seattle, was elected president of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) this week at the Plastic Surgery 2010, the Socialist? s annual scientific meeting. Recorded on Monday, 4 October, and Dr. Haeck the worldâ? S largest plastic surgery association and authority on cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery for a period of one year. As president of ASPS, Dr. Haeck on patient safety is to focus, as well as, training and members of the public.
â? With more doctors who work on the market of cosmetic surgery and more patients, the strength? Reduced? Procedures to educate the public about who is best qualified to perform plastic surgery is more important than ever, â? Dr. Hackel said. â? ASPS Member Surgeon Since 1990, Dr. Haeck board positions, including Treasurer of ASPS / PSEF and historian, and served as chairman of a number of committees SSPA, including patient safety and health policy. In addition, Mr. Haeckel served ASPS / PSEF Vice President Finance and Treasurer, and served as public education and Government Affairs Committees, among others. He currently serves on the Editorial Board for ASPSâ? medical journal Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (PRS).
Dr. Haeck has in practice for 24 years and holds American Board of Plastic Surgery certification in 1990. He received his medical degree from the University of Michigan and began his surgical training at Swedish Hospital in Seattle. Dr. Haeck then completed three years of training in plastic surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, before moving to his practice, established Seattle.

He currently resides in Seattle with his wife of 26 years, Karen, an oncology nurse and her three daughters, the eldest, a recent graduate of the University of Denver, the second, a student at Colorado College and the youngest, a student at Northwestern University .
