Question : Military Home Improvement Loan?
I need to make some improvements on our house. Potentially a new roof and some new windows and doors. I’m trying to find a decent military loan, but all I seem to come across are VA loans, and I don’t think we qualify for those, because my husband isn’t a veteran. He’s active duty Army. Does anyone know any reliable sites/sources for a military loan or any other type of home improvement loan with low rates. Also, would those type of improvements qualify us for the tax breaks Obama put into effect? Would we get any sort of tax refund for a new roof/windows/doors? That would be an energy effective thing, wouldn’t it? Any help anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated. This is definitely not my area, it’s my husband’s. But he’s not available to help with ANY of this right now. Thanks!!!

FHA 203K loan may be your best bet. See a mortgage professional in your area.
