Question : Is there a website I can get a moving company’s’ quote automatically?
I’m looking to get an automatic quote online, without having to give out my phone number or email. I want to hire a company to come in an pack/move all my stuff for me. I am only moving a few blocks up from where I live now. I just don’t want to deal with the headache of packing/ lifting..etc. Thanks

I doubt it. There is way too much variation in what people have and how much it weighs and how difficult it will be to pack up. They need to come and see it so they have a good idea of how much labor it will take to pack. The labor to pack is the biggest cost of the move.

I urge you to slow down and think about your approach here. You want someone to move your personal items, have access to your house, personal information and more, without having conducted a thorough search and background check because you wanted an instant quote online? This is the easiest way to get scammed.
I understand that moving can be a hassle, but it’s important to protect yourself. There is no way for a moving company to give you an accurate quote instantly. They need to come to your home and see what has to be moved in order to give you a close quote. Scammers, rogues and moving brokers will tell you otherwise – they will also give you a low ball price to get your business and then jack it up by hundreds, if not thousands, upon delivery.
If you want to protect yourself, call local agents of the national van lines (United, Mayflower, etc.) and schedule a time for them to come to your home and quote you the right price.

I understand. It really is very hard to move your things from one place to another especially when you’re doing this on your own. Last year when I move to my new place, I decided to hire a moving company to deal with my belongings. And they really did a good job. I’m well satisfied with their work. You can use them too. I do trust them and maybe in the future when I will be moving again, I’ll still use their service. Here is their website movingtruckrental.us
