Question : How much would it cost to move a studio apartment about 30 miles?
I’m considering hiring movers to move enough stuff to fill a small studio apartment about 30 miles in Massachusetts, and am just curious about the price. Has anyone hired a mover for that amount of stuff? I’d do it myself but some of my pieces of furniture are too big for me to move – i.e. a bed, larger bookshelf, dresser, etc. But it’s not that much stuff altogether. Anyone have any guesses as to how much that would cost?

Oh and I’ve emailed a few companies for estimates but none of them have gotten back to me yet, so I just thought I’d ask here too!
The reason why I’m not just doing it myself is because some of the pieces of furniture are too big for me to move – I’m not a very big person and would be doing this by myself. Thanks!

Why not just rent a small U-Haul and do it yourself? Get a friend to help you load/unload your bigger items. I don’t know the rates where you live, but I am sure it’s much cheaper than hiring an actual moving company.
