Question : Does a “bare walls” fire insurance policy for a condo building cover anything inside?
would our building policy cover any of the interior of my unit?
what about flooring, bathtubs and showers etc.
Of course, i will check with my agent!
I have extra insurance for my interior but i think i will increase it. i live in MALIBU!!!

If it did, then would there be a need to have a condo policy for the individual unit owners? No.. So to answer you question the flooring, nbathtubs and showers are not covered under the policy of the condo building.

No one here has any way of knowing.
You ACTUALLY need to check the condo bylaws, to see what the association is responsible for, and what YOU are responsible for.
If the bylaws say “bare walls including interior walls”, then the only parts of your unit included for coverage would be drywall – no paint, built in cabinetry (NOT any improvements you made, but the standard), and subflooring. Bathtubs and showers WOULD be included – but only the standard for the association, NOT any upgraded ones you might have put in.
THIS IS GOING TO VARY. You will have to check with your agent, AND READ YOUR BYLAWS.
