Question : Are swimming pools in the Las Vegas, NV area a good idea?
I’m looking for a home in North Las Vegas and want a swimming pool. Some people tell me that for the Las Vegas area it’s too much work and money to maintain. Is that true? I know insurance will be higher but its just me and my wife; no kids.
I dont mind doing the maintenence myself or buying the supplies. The big thing I was told to worry about was the water bill. However, if the pool is already full of water, why would it be expensive if Im re-using and cleaning that same water? And by the way, if I ask a pool company in Las Vegas, of course they’re going to say its a great idea. Im looking for an un-biased opinion

It depends a lot on what you consider “too much work and money” to be.
Maybe if you have to ask you can’t afford it. Someone in the pool maintenance business in LV would give you a better answer than you will get here.
