THe closing is going to have to be put off. NO ONE is going to bind coverage until 48 hours after Fay has left the area.

This should NOT be a surprise to the mortgage brokers or the closing company.

But, fwiw, you CAN buy a policy weeks and weeks before the closing, if you want to, IF there’s no storm. If you had bought it earlier, you wouldn’t have to put the closing off.
