Thinking of moving to Wichita Kansas, how are the crime rates?
Question : Thinking of moving to Wichita Kansas, how are the crime rates?
I saw it was ranked 9th best place to live on some list, but I heard from my mother that the crime rates were high, though I must admit she has a knack for exaggeration and over-reacting, so has anyone been there. Is it a pretty peaceful city?

Hi, I live only fifty miles from Wichita. It has ccrime but it is not the only city in the U.S. that has crime. I know for a fact that it has an excellent police and sheriff’s department. It has many other good qualities too, such as some excellent four year colleges and some nice clean clubs for the night life.
You should Google Wichita Kansas for their crime rate and their other good qualities and get the proper information so you can make an informed decision!

Yes, it ranked 9th best place to live if your a crackhead. No seriously though, I live here, so I know how it is. Where I live and will only live, is the west side of Wichita. Its not bad here, not too much crime. The very center of Wichita is the worst “Downtown Wichita”. And the east side is kinda bad too. You won’t have to much trouble if you stick to the west. East and downtown thats where the crime is at. Good luck!

Well whatever you decide to do be sure to have renters or homeowners insurance. Appears there is an arsonist on the prowl and due to layoffs in the arson departments not many of those cases are being solved. Good luck.
