Question : what AFFORDABLE presents can i get the people at the retirement home?
My mom lives in our local retirment home and me and my kids visit once or twice a week and talk to the other people to as most people don’t visit them and its pretty sad that most of them don’t get a christmas present and probably feel lonely so any affordable christmas gift ideas that i can buy or my kids can make etc? theres 32 people living there
look for a budget around £2 per person? yeah i know its barely anything, but there is 32 people, also where can i get the things if you answer?

Candy,picture frames(with a nice poem in it),flowers,sock’s(buy a pack and have the kids fabric paint something on them),plants,small craft items to do(clearance items from craft stores),lotions samples,etc…
Or you could get your kids and some of their friends to do a small X-Mas show,singing songs and just being there,reading to them etc…for the day.And use the money to bake some cup-cakes,candy,little gifts things like above.I think the most enjoyable part to them will be the time and energy spent with them.Maybe someone from a local church will play the piano for them at your request.

With diabetes and other dietary concerns, nuts and chocolates may not be good. But this might work.
Talk to the retirement home manager and the IT teacher at your kid’s school.
Schools upgrade computers and look for somewhere for old PCs to go. If the retirement home has room for the IT specialist from the kids’ school to set up some work stations, you and the kids can help them get internet savy.
Teach them to play social games of cards on Yahoo Games. There are some clubs set up for all different card games too.
Then even during the holidays when they may not have family to visit, they can still socialise on the internet.
