Is there any laws like anti lemon laws for home electronics?
Question : Is there any laws like anti lemon laws for home electronics?
Some friends and I got a friend an Xbox 360 for Christmas last year. Since then she has sent it back SIX times for the same reason (open tray error). It started after the return policy had expired, but still under warranty for Xbox. I am tired of sending back and I want something I can use to get either my money back or a new system. Also no “get a PS3!” please. Thank you.

Contract law. You bought something that was supposed to work.
tell them that you feel that they have had a reasonable amount of time to actually fix the dang thing and as such with the recurring error either return your money in full OR send a complete new system.
Anything has to be fit for the purpose it was sold and clearly this is NOT.
Hopefully you have a record of all the send backs and the amount of time you was without the system etc whilst waiting for the system to be fixed and sent back……..get all your paper work in order and write a letter keep a copy and send it recorded delivery, giving them 14 days to respond.
