Question : Is it helpful to have a roof warranty when selling my home?
I’m selling my home, and someone told me I should purchase a roof warranty. They said it helped them sell the home and protect them from any liability related to the leaks. Has anyone experianced this and know where to get one?

I’ve never heard of that… purchasing a home warranty through American Home Shield would definitely be beneficial to you and the buyer however.
A roof warranty can help to give the buyer more confidence in the property and could possibly help the sale. Most home warranties seem to cover everything except the roofs and roof leaks.
There are a couple of roof warranty programs on the market. The one I used was moisturefree roof warranty. My realtor had to line up a home inspector that had been approved by the moisturefree company. I don’t know if it was a determining factor in my sale, but my buyers did ask me about it before they bought the house.
When I closed on my house the warranty tranfer was seemless. I did not have to do a thing.
