Question : Do you know anyone over 50 years old who have never been unemployed?
I was looking at the personnel files of the people at my company and noticed that most people have been unemployed at various times of their adult life. It may be a result of a layoff, a corporate reorganization, a relocation, a termination or a variety of other reasons.

Do you know anyone over 40 or 50 years old who have been working non stop without a break and never been involuntarily unemployed during periods of their life.

Yes I do know some people over 50 who’ve been fortunate enough to have been employed all their lives. I’m just curious – do you work in HR? Because if you don’t. what are you doing looking through personnel files? Not that I have anything to hide, but I wouldn’t want someone I work with randomly looking through my file.
