Question : Do I need an electrical permit? I had structural plans approved for a new dormer, that didt include ele work?
In PG county MD I am calling for a framing inspection, but I do not have any electric in the new dormer. The plans that the county approved do not show any electrical work. Do I 1) need to put electric in to pass the framing inspection 2) need to pull an electrical permit?
structural inspection

If there is no need to run wiring, you would not need a permit.
Framing, IDK. By code you need electrical outlets within 6 feet of the door and then every 12 feet along the floor. For this you do need an electrical permit and inspection before the work is complete. Get the electrical permit and the inspections. I suspect that your plans should have included electrical, but many permit departments are very specialized and do not communicate with each other.
