Question : a New Jersey mom 42 yrs old who had a brain embelism & is paralyzed on the right side has had her SSI reduced-
she has 6 kids 2 r teens that live w/ her 15 yr old grl that assists mom after school,17 yr old boy who has football practice b/c coach feels he has potential in this sport. the other 4 older kids do not help her she has asked for the monetary help already. welfare has not assisted since June. yes she has spoken to her caseworker & was told to go to a shelter & tell her kids who r doing well in school to get jobs(what kind of job can a 15 & 17 get to actually create proper funding w/o affecting school?) no other family in the states. Can anyone give names,numbers,addresses in New Jersey (south amboy) of gov’t run or privately run organizations or anything that can HELP.is there some kind of group that helps disabled moms? church groups?any info would be greatly appreciated. she has been paralyzed for 3 yrs.

Food bank will help for immediate need and may have contacts for special programs that bring food to the home.

Community Assistance Program may be able to help with emergency payment of utilities/housing until she is able to correct the income problem. They have many other programs/contacts, just ask lots of questions.
