do an inventory and list it on craigslist with prices and have yard sales.
When I moved cross-country, I would post an ad on craigslist. Post an ad for each item (or if there are lots) for the best items. Give date/times for an open house. I did the open house 3 times and 90% of everything was gone. The rest I donated to charity.
