Question : I need homeowners insurance. Who is good?
I am having trouble getting quotes online because the house was built in 1915. Geico, Allstate and Progressive won’t give a quote online for that age of a home.
The house has already been completely remodeled. Brand new everything except for the hard wood floors and architectual details. I found insurance through my car insurance, I just needed to talk to a live person to get it worked out.

Yeah, well, online isn’t the way to go. MOST companies aren’t going to insure a house that old. The ones that are, will insist that it’s been fully updated – ya know, indoor plumbing, decent wiring, a new roof, etc.

You need to go to a local, independent agent, who can shop this out for you. You’re not going to be able to do much picking and choosing – it’s more going to be about the agent finding ANYONE willing to write this. I’m sure they can. . but they probably won’t have more than one or two companies that will do it. And none of the will write direct, most likely. Direct writers only want to do the easy to write stuff.

I was wondering, as everyone says it is hard to get loan these days, if could be able to get loan. I have very low self employed income for past years. If I was going to buy house for 200K and had income about 700 dollars a month. Would bank give me loan if I put 60K down payment? My grandfather just passed and I inherited the money.

They have repaired my motor home engine twice under warranty at a cost to them of $ 3000. Now it needs a new engine at a cost to me of $ 20,000. How can I prove to them that the repairs are from a self destructing engine when they want to claim it has gotten dust in it? Even their own tests showed my engine was in good shape prior to them working on it. This engine was leaking oil and they did 2 repairs before tearing the engine down and finding broken piston rings. Is this company known for denying major repairs at their cost. Could this shop be known for replacing parts, hoping you will get far enough down the road, before breaking down, and you won’t return to them?

I would be on the phone to the main company and getting this taken care of. If they have repaired it twice, and no one else has touched it, how did it get the dust in it. Didn’t they put the air cleaner on it? I would bet it is their way of covering up their screw up! Good Luck o[|||||]o
