These facts have all been discussed or commented on throughout all the media outlets. Please no bashing or comparisons–just interested in people’s opinion about the following——How was this bill, going to lower my health costs when there would be a 40% tax on my premium?————-Why does this bill state that the benefits were not start until 2014 if it is so important to get it passed now?——-If this bill is the best thing for all Americans, then why were the unions exempt from paying that 40% tax?———–If this bill is good for America, why are the politicians exempt from participating in it?———-The clause that states all people can get health insurance without pre-existing conditions, why would people buy it until they get sick or need cancer treatment or heart surgery? It is like not having to pay for homeowners insurance until the tornado struck.——- These points were well documented every where, I just wanted your take oon them–again–no bashing

It will not work for long. You can only borrow money from Peter to pay back Paul until he has no more money. It is just the next attempt to create another Govt dependency program.
Good question. Baseline answer… It’s a catch22. This is a complex issue.
Back many many years ago, there was little medical knowledge. I remember reading somewhere that the total sum of knowledge was maintained in a two books. Medicine was more or less equal across the masses. Things today are fined tuned to an extreme science… and very very expensive.
Our country has emerged as one of equality. That in itself has a ring of socialism, but not in a bad way. There is no pure form of government or society, things have to cross over different ideologies in order to maintain a balance… To keep things stable.
With that equality in mind, many people have taken the stand that medical care is a right, like the bill of rights. I tend to agree because things are simply not fair the way it is right now. Pre-existing conditions spells doom to some people when their job is lost. Everything they have worked for becomes in peril as they try to maintain their life’s battle. This can happen to ANYBODY and ANY political party affiliation. Losing HC happened to me. I remained untreated for 5 years and was able to pick up HC insurance, a private plan. When the rates hit $ 2,200 per quarter year, I lucked out and found one for one third the cost… Otherwise I would have had to let HC insurance fall away.
The bills passed by the House and Senate were doomed to fail. The irresponsible and sneaky thrust the super majority started with soon came to a grinding halt. If they started with the HC as the very first thing out of the starting gate, it would have passed. The people caught onto the trickery of congressional leadership, and now their HC is stopped… Because it made a mockery of equality—> The elected exempted themselves and their union friends.
National HC is socialism, just like socialist security, medicare and Medicaid, welfare, ADC, food stamps, HEAP and many more things… all of which have put a horrible burden on our nation. LBJ doomed socialist security when he dissolved the trust, put it into the general fund and then took that money and spent it on his failed war on poverty. Government can not do many things correctly, and this knowledge is another thing that put the skids on HC.
The dems made a big mistake putting Pelosi as Speaker, she is the most sneaky and underhanded person. She was voted into office and represents a district way WAY out on the fringes of mainstream America. All the stuff from those bills are cancerous. Scrap the junk Pelosi concocted.
The economics of insurance is clear. The well pay for the sick. The young pay SS for the old. Right now, the working people pay for and support those who do not. The working people are at the mercy of the existing HC system, the welfare breeders are not… they have Medicaid. NOT FAIR! People who support society with taxes get the dirty end of the stick. NOT FAIR!
We already have a socialist society with all the existing socialist programs in place, but government has failed miserably at them. People are afraid of government meddling with their HC.
Economically, a national plan would work IF: 1) If administered by HC insurance companies for a percentage take… This would be FAR cheaper then government stupidity. All the young and healthy would have to pay. Car insurance is something no one wants to use, but just wait until your pretty car gets totaled! Same thing with HC. 2) No exceptions.. ALL in it EQUALLY… Unions, lawmakers and ALL.
