It’s not necessarily a “scam,” but I would stay away from things like this. They are small companies that are just a bunch of people together who try to “help people save their homes”, probably charge fees to negotiate with their lenders or whatever.
They do not have a good reputation in my opinion…
it is but it is disguised. I had a life insurance marketer try to get us to use this as a way to supplement our income
What you will really have to be doing is call people who have responded to a mass mailing. (think about how many things you get in the mail and actually fill out and send back vs. throw away)
You schedule appointments with them then you have to go see them, usually at their homes. You will have to see about 10 people on a Saturday and about 10 people on a Sunday (at least) and actually sell them something to make the kind of money they are talking about.
Some people are okay with this. I wasn’t because sometimes I would end up in shady neighborhoods and I am a female in my twenties – I don’t like the idea of going into their homes. Also it was ruthless selling. I am a caring person who would like to know my clients (suitability is often required) and continue to know and service them. When you are in and out so quickly, you are there for you, not them. Personally, I’m a quality not quantity type of person/representative.
