Question : I’m buying a brand new construction condo.?
But it’s a distress sale – half off the prices. The place is VERY high end – granite, thick walls and other high end finishes. It reeks of quality and craftmanship. The builder designs these and also multi-million dollar homes. Do I really need a home inspection where everhting inside looks absolutely perfect in every way? Or should I just buy a home warranty (less expensive).

One rule of real estate is never, ever buy a home without an inspection! Not everything may be as it appears. A well trained home inspector should be able to find any potential flaws. I think that with it being new construction there should be a builder’s warranty that comes with the condo. Look into that a little more. Don’t buy without an inspection, because if they find something wrong, it could end up saving you thousands in the long run!
