Brinks announces the winners of the Innovation 2010 Brink’s Midwest Clean Tech 2010

Intellectual Property law firm Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione, the three winners of the 2nd annual competition Brinks Midwest Clean Tech Innovation Conference, 2010, the announced McCormick Place in Chicago on 14-15 September 2010. Midwest Clean Tech is a program of the Global Alliance Midwest.
All three have a technological solution in clean technology or cleantech. Cleantech encompasses the whole of the development and improvement of environment-friendly technologies in energy efficiency, alternative energy, waste reduction and management and water reuse and conservation measures.

Each of the five finalists in the innovation of this year’s competition is a technology to improve and productive use of natural resources, reducing the negative impact on the environment or improve the performance of existing technology to a way that is environmentally sustainable, a? said G. won the first place is BioIonix, Inc., a Wisconsin manufacturer of disinfection of food security and the most advanced systems for recycling water to eliminate pathogens in food and allows the recycling of process water. President and CEO of BioIonix, James A. Tretheway, has extensive experience in early stage high technology companies.

Peoria, Illinois EcoThermics base, the first developed

a natural refrigerant compressor, an element conducive to high performance heat pumps for the environment.
The third one is
Lumec Control Products, in Peoria, Illinois, is based the development and commercialization of its dynamic valve opening (DOV), a highly capable valve flow control applications for gas at low pressure as the combustion of natural gas. DOV Lumec offers features not available from competitors, flow control valves.
Brinks innovation competition helps companies with revolutionary ideas in the clean and green technology to gain visibility and connections with potential investors. Many of the participants are young companies or start-up operation, and competition Brinks “encouraged to innovate, prepares to protect companies and market their ideas and increase the visibility of their interesting ideas and technical solutions in the field of green technologies.
