Yard sale… front yard or back yard?
Question : Yard sale… front yard or back yard?
I apologize for reposting this question, but I got no responses yesterday and I really would appreciate some opinions.
I have had several successful garage sales at my vacation home, which has a garage and a large yard. But now I’d like to have a sale at my permanent home, in the city. I have a very small front yard and my garage is off of an alley.
Here are my options for this sale:
*Front yard. People who are driving by will be able to see my stuff and parking will be easy, but my yard is tiny so there isn’t a lot of space for merchandice.
*Back yard- There will be plenty of space for my stuff and people won’t feel crowded. There is plenty of parking on the street. Plus, I have one of those semi-permanent gazebos so there will be a shaded area. But people won’t be able to see the sale from the road.
*Garage- I have a 2 and a half car garage, but it’s off of an alley, so there’s no parking available. People would have to park half a block away and walk down the alley… I don’t think they will do that.
So, given the three choices which would you suggest and why.

I always like the front yard sales!
Stick with the front/back yard combo…I would put as much as possible in the front and use the back as overflow…so people can see that your sale is worth making a stop at…be sure to advertise your sale…I suggest posting a free sale at salenook.com with some images of sale items ( example: http://salenook.com/user/example ) and linking to it in a craigslist.org post to generate targeted traffic…people will see the effort and will be more inclined to visit your sale.
Hope This Helps!
Good Luck!
