What is the best way to nail an ex-employer for unpaid commission wages?
Question : What is the best way to nail an ex-employer for unpaid commission wages?
I am a mortgage broker in Denver, CO and back in April, 2006 I worked for a company, closed a deal through them, and when I went back on the following Monday to pick-up my funding check I found that the owner had taken the name off the door, moved out all the furniture, and skipped-town with my money. I have his cell phone number, and when I call he still picks up! If you can believe that! He keeps running me in circles saying he will pay me at some point. All I have is the old office address, so in order to serve him with official court papers I need an address so I can send a contract processor to deliver the court doc’s. I know he commutes between Denver and Las Vegas. I have exausted all efforts trying to find his current address but have had no luck. Any suggestions?

Check with the government bureau that deals with labour standards.
All Righty then…go to IRS.gov, download form 3949A, fill it out and make copies and send it Certified mail. You will receive a reward of 10% for whatever they find wrong with all of what they have done! Go to the Attorney Generals Office and report it also the Labor Relations Board. IRS will fix them but good. It may take 6 months to a year, but it will be worth the wait!
