Question : Weight loss dilemma. Can you help me please?
I’ve gained a massive amount of weight recently and I’m fairly certain that I’m 140+ lbs now. I want to lose weight and get back down to 120lbs. The problem? I’m currently struggling to get over an eating disorder. When I started losing weight I was 100lbs before I went for treatment. Now I am very unhappy with my weight. I wear a size 4 now, whereas before I was a size 0. I feel fat and depressed about my weight all the time, causing me to binge and purge way more frequently (like every day now). I had a falling out with m treatment center (they wanted me to do the residential program) and wasn’t able to complete my treatment. That being said, I don’t think I’ll be completely okay with losing weight the “healthy way.” I’m afraid I’ll fall back into my old habits. But on the other hand, being this fat is depressing me and lately I’ve been falling back into my self-mutilation habits. What do I do? Help please!

Losing weight is a process that can, and should, take an extended period of time. You have the best chance of keeping weight off if you drop those extra pounds gradually. That being said, it is possible, and sometimes necessary, to lose some weight relatively quickly. Here are some tips on how to lose weight in 3 weeks.
1. Get rid of all the junk food in your house. You need to get rid of any food that is unhealthy, fattening, and full of calories so that you cannot cheat or sneak a snack. Get rid of sodas, sports drinks, alcohol, and other high calorie or high fat beverages. When you need to lose weight in a quick manner, you cannot afford to make any mistakes.
2. Get up and get moving. This is one of the most important steps if you want to know how to lose weight in 3 weeks. You should consider working out with a cardiovascular program for about one hour each day. This can be one particular activity, or a combination of several activities. You need to get your heart pumping, and build up a sweat. In addition to working out, sit less often. It is a proven fact that the act of standing burns more calories than sitting or lying down. Try standing while watching television, or while talking on the phone. You might just be surprised at the results.
3. Keep a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables at hand to snack on throughout the day. Fresh produce has a good deal of fiber and water, which fills you up and keeps you feeling full. This assists with preventing cravings, and provides many nutritional benefits. Having water close by to sip on throughout the day also helps to keep your stomach feeling full without adding any extra calories. Water also works to flush out your system, which can further facilitate weight loss.
4. Eat about six small meals each day. When you eat small, healthy meals, at regular intervals your body is forced to digest food more often, which causes your body to burn more energy. This raises your metabolism and helps get that weight off faster. The main points to remember are that meals need to be small, and they need to be healthy. The issue of “how to lose weight in 3 weeks” can quickly turn into “how I gained weight in 3 weeks” if your food choices and portion sizes are wrong. Make sure these meals are about one third the size of regular meals, and contain lots of veggies, fruit, lean protein, fiber, and low fat dairy.
