Warranty/Tire Coverage for a 2006 Toyota Corolla?

Question : Warranty/Tire Coverage for a 2006 Toyota Corolla?
I just had a huge blow out on my rear passenger side last night after midnight while coming home from work. There I was changing the tire, putting my spare donut on at close to 1AM.
ANYBODY out there, can you tell me if it is covered(the tire) under my warranty. I don’t think it is. its a 2006 Corolla with 9900 miles.

Basic: 3 yr. / 36,000 mi.
Drivetrain: 5 yr. / 60,000 mi.

But no, no tire warranty. You can always try though. They shouldn’t really be blowing out at 10,000 miles!

As a general rule, tires are not covered by the automobile manufacturer’s warranty. If you can find a local tire store that sells your brand, you may be able to get some warranty coverage from them, but don’t expect too much.

If you can show the tire blew due to a defect in the tire then yes it is covered under warranty.

The warranty information should have come with the information you received when you purchased the vehicle. I believe they are covered for the first 35K
