Question : How can we pull out an iron rail embedded in marble?
We have a spiral staircase with iron railing that was never completely finished. We want to pull the iron out but each rail is embedded in each marble stair. How can we pull it out without ruining the marble. We are planning on putting in a wooden rail in place of each iron one. Need help please!
The marble is drilled and the iron i think is in concrete

when they installed the railing, they either drilled a hole or cut a hole for the metalwork,,, one way is to cut the railing off, leaving enough of the railing to attach the new wooden one.You could do this by drilling through the wood and bolting onto the fixed steelwork, I think trying to get the old railing away from the marble will do some damage,, good luck whatever you do
