Question : Party theme ideas for Active senior citizens?
Trying to plan an event in late August for the active seniors here at the Retirement community I work at. The rental incentives it is based around is “peace of mind”, meaning that if you move in and decide in a month or so that you don’t like it, we will pay for your moving expenses, help with packing, etc. I have to do a big event where we invite people in and I am drawing a HUGE blank when I try to come up with a theme/food ideas. So I thought I would try here and maybe get some fresh ideas. Thanks in advance.

Have a door prize for sure (drawing for one).
Sandwiches and punch/coffee (decaffeinated for the ones who cannot take caffeine).
Cupcakes or cookies.
Finger foods so everyone does not have to sit down to hold their plates.
Play some nice older classical music softly.I think maybe a luau theme would be nice.

Sounds like a lot of fun! Well I would suggest doing something they’re familiar with (from their era) but thats not too played out. I LOVE Parties! Here are a list of parties that i’ve had with my family, but definately you could make it silly like sort of dress up costume party.
You could do:
A Hat Party
A Crazy or Ugly Sweater Party
Country Western
Fiesta Party
Gilligans Island Party
Hillbilly Party
Luau
nerd Party
An Under the Sun party
And Under the Sea Party
Or you could make it a GAME SHOW Party where you can try to get everyone including family involved! I think its going to be a lot fun, they’re lucky to have a party planner like you =] - Comment Feed for this Post
