Is my documentation good enough for first time home buyer’s credit?
Question : Is my documentation good enough for first time home buyer’s credit?
The credit requires a copy of the settlement statement. The settlement statement I have was written up by our lawyer, probably on a word processor program. It has ONLY the bare minimum information that the IRS website says it has to have on it, with our four signatures. Is this good enough, or do I need more?
I also have the warranty of deed for the property, which is an official document provided by the county to acknowledge the sale. Should I consider sending that with it?

the papers that show your signatures are probably the most important besides the 5405(or 5406)
in fact, if you submit papers without your signature it will probably be rejected
You also need a mortgage statement. They want proof that you live there.
