Camp Snoopy to Nickelodeon Univerese? Better or Worse?
Question : Camp Snoopy to Nickelodeon Univerese? Better or Worse?
So Knott’s Camp Snoopy in the Mall of America in Minneapolis/St. Paul was bought by Nickelodeon and is being turned into the Nickelodeon Universe. They’ve added to new roller coasters, and are basically remodelling the existing rides. The lake that was once there is now a half-pipe roller coaster. Is the environment ruined? Or is it a new “thing” that may not be so bad?
I personally liked the atmosphere of the old Camp Snoopy, this Nickelodeon Universe feels too much like Orlando, not too mention it feels cramped even more than it already did.

I have also grown up a Minnesotan and I believe it will be far worse. I feel as if they have now made no room to breathe in the whole park. Taking out The Mystery Mine Ride was bad enough, though the new roller coaster does look pretty legit. However they totally lost it when they took out the classic water fountain. It was just nice to see it in the middle. I don’t know about anyone else, but for me it was the trademark of a place I loved.
I agree, it does feel like Orlando, which makes me upset because it should feel like Minnesota. That’s a “no duh” statement. However, money is money, and if I were in charge of the park, I’m sure I would have gone Nickelodian too. Some good things may come out of this, but I have no idea what. Now, if they ever do anything to Lego Land, we’re going to have a serious problem.
