Looks good to me, the ony thing I was going to suggest was the extended warranty, but I see you beat me to it. The only thing that bothers me is Vista, but I don’t think you can do much about that! I received a free upgrade for my computer, but switched back to XP in a heartbeat. Vista is a huge system hog and really slowed down my computer, and I have 384 MB of RAM running at 252 Ghz. If you can, get Dell to install XP instead, but I don’t think they can! It never hurts to ask though! On the bright side that was a long time ago that I had Vista, perhaps they have worked out a lot of the bugs by now!

Okay:
*Paying for Ultimate. Isn’t Home Premium good enough?
*Paying for Office in the era of OpenOffice?
*Extended Warranty? You do realize that these warranties are a very high-margin item for computer vendors. While some people indeed do use them heavily, most people never have enough hardware failures to reach the warranty’s purchase price. Plus, after two years components like a 250GB hard disk or Q6600 will look haggard and you’ll probably want to put in newer faster replacements as opposed to lateral swaps. Anything above the most basic warranty offering is foolish but for a laptop you know you’ll treat roughly.
*There’s no reason to consider an Ageia Physx card. The company got bought up by Nvidia after about a year’s worth of mockery. The physics capabilities are now included right in Nvidia’s drivers, and will work on an 8800GT. - Comment Feed for this Post
