Polybutylene Plumbing needs replaced, what is the cost?
Question : Polybutylene Plumbing needs replaced, what is the cost?
My husband and I are buying a house. Today during the inspection we found out the house has polybutylene plumbing. The house is too old for filing a claim with the class action law suit. We really would like to have this house replumbed before we move in, and even settle this before we continue any further in our contract with the owners. The owners will be asked to contribute toward replumbing costs.
How much would this cost?
plumbing inspection

There’s really no way for anyone here to answer this accurately because we have no way of knowing the size of the house, first of all, or the area you’re in. Your best bet is to try contacting some local plumbing contractors and get their opinions so you have more information before trying to negotiate with the owners.
Good luck.
Mine cost around $ 4300 around 5 yrs. ago.
So many houses need this that the company that did it actually
has a crew that does replumbs full-time. My price included
everything, including repainting walls they had to tear into, etc.
