Colby Community College in Kansas and Colby College is a two-year public community that offers a number of different levels associated with a variety of different disciplines. One of the degrees offered are Associate of Applied Science degree in Horse Production Management. This degree is for students pursuing a career in the production of horses or other careers who want to pursue related to the equine industry. The program includes both theoretical and practical training to students with the knowledge and skills they need to to succeed in the horse industry.

· Equine Management Technology – This course offers students a good overview of the equine industry because students on vocational training in various phases of the production area for horses provides. Students also have the opportunity to participate in Operations Management and other management skills.

· Hiking production – students study the selection, breeding, reproduction, nutrition and other management practices that produced the daily operation of any plant horses involved

Students collect, analyze and present data collected during a variety of different business performance horses. All this information is then applied to the development of protocols for the activities of the power of special interest to students.

There are also a number of electives that are not required, but are the students the opportunity to improve at this time. Some of these classes are as follows:

The school also has different stallions they stand for the public and the use of their breeding programs.

In addition to courses offered, students can participate in the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association. The Ihsa promotes competition for riders of all levels and provides pilots with the opportunity to participate in shows, without owning a horse, they can even qualify to compete for the national exhibition.
