The headquarters of AT&T Mobility, The Coca-Cola Company, Home Depot, Arby’s, Chick-fil-A, Earthlink, SunTrust Banks, Waffle House. Over 75% of the Fortune 1000 companies have a presence in Atlanta. Atlanta also contains the tallest building ( Bank of America Plaza) in the United States outside of Chicago and New York City. Atlanta has been in the midst of a construction and retail boom, with over 60 new highrise or midrise buildings either proposed or under construction as of April 19, 2006. Atlanta is home to one of the largest concentrations of colleges and universities in the country. The city has more than 30 institutions of higher education, including the Georgia Institute of Technology. Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is the world’s busiest airport. Atlanta is also a green city with several parks and forests in the area.

I guess northern cities are loosing business, because of its high tax and strange laws for corporations.

doubt it, the cities not setup properly for thriving business and living. look at anywhere in new york city and then look at anywhere in atlanta if atlanta will ever get people to say “oh wow i wanna live there” till then everyone will prefer to work and live in the big apple.
