Question : Are there any long term mortgage assistance programs for disabled (quadriplegic) home buyers?
I have been a Realtor for over 2 years now and have come to a unique learning opportunity. A friend is quadriplegic from an auto accident years ago. My question is are there any long term mortgage assistance programs for folks in his situation? I believe hes looking for a bit more than just down payment assistance.

Not really. Unfortunately, one of the golden rules of buying a home (as you should know) is that if you cannot afford a house, you are not entitled to have a house. There MIGHT be some local non-profits in his area that MIGHT offer something, but even then non-profits DO NOT like to get tied down to long term obligations.
friend or not, it’s pretty shady to ask for assistance in this case when it’s likely that his medical bills, food, housing, basically his entire life are paid for by the government already
not that anyone wants to be quadriplegic, of course. but damn, that’s just too much
