Question : Trying to find biblical principles to convince partner to share our intellectual property. Help please.?
Short and sweet is I have developed some trading software and I believe that the more people who see it and work on it the better it will become. I DON’T think that openly sharing it will diminish the value of the product, as passive investors are the only investors we work with. From past experience I know that by being open with my software codes other designers/traders can help me tweak it much faster than I could alone.

My partner is extremely protective of intellectual property. I understand this and the reasons behind it. In some cases the more people who have it the less valuable or less effective the product becomes. This is not the case with my current program.

My partner is truly a good man. I’m not saying this just because he’s religious. He truly is on a spiritual enlightening path or I would not work with him. His actions, goals, intentions, etc are all filled with compassion. He genuinely has a good heart and I hope one day I can be as giving as him and his family.

I have agreed not to share any software or developments without his consent and I will 100% honor that.

While, I think he may see my point without actual biblical principles, I would love to present “my case” in that context if possible.

Thank you for your thoughtfulness and time. :-) …while i appreciate your jump to bring in a lawyer this is not a legal issue. If I wanted to be deceitful and go behind my partner’s back there is little if nothing he could do about it legally. Additionally, he may never even find out.

I’m looking for more universal laws/biblical principle kind of answers (which are not the same as religion). It’s not like I NEED them, but I would like them for big picture clarification.

Don’t bring religion into this.

Bring a contract lawyer in, instead.
