California Dreaming

(one day British Summer Time!)

As I sit here in my office dirty ground (well almost, there’s certainly no window to speak!) I could not stop my head around. Initially, my thoughts turned to the weather, which was simply awful for a number of summers now. I remember one time when me and my little collection of pals would a few words (mainly beer and instant noodles!) Packing and down on a Friday after work for a campground.

The summers seemed never ending with sunburn for everyone, because of the lack of protection, which almost led to another story, but I will not go there! large amounts of warm cider (West Country Lads) were consumed. This rule resulted in some pretty degenerate behavior, and we threw a lot of camping! A record I’m not proud of you guessed.

Recently, I’ve tried those happy days with my wife, but can not seem to find women enjoy the same experience. You know, he died of cold during the unbearably hot night of 6 clock the next morning. Warm lager for breakfast, a tense silence for the whole house, 3 hours away, this kind of thing! It made me think there must be a more desirable outdoor experience that is not tried by a tent terribly complex begins and ends in divorce. I suddenly had a moment of clarity and remembered the legend of the VW Bus!

Of course, I would think about it before I had just remember my teenage years when after enduring soggy tents and cold showers, my parents finally decided to invest in a VW camper. I remember it was to correct a type 1974 2 1.6L, a Devon conversion I think, though no doubt some VW fanatic will tell me on that statement. What I know is that my stepfather, a truck driver and the next day, bought several generations of my family began a journey of discovery that ended about ten miles away in a couple of valves in the engine decided they were tired of life.

Luckily, my step-father very mechanical and we could fit a reconditioned engine. Unfortunately, our problems do not stop there and a number of years was going to a pattern of family holidays all over his face and I-Spy Games, just to make early in the back of a truck AA recovery. I seem to remember that we were on first name terms with some of the AA patrol men.

I remember many a year in all, I was somehow to be responsible enough to be left at home while my parents went virtually dragging my long suffering sister with them along with some students in French to be the name Gaston or Christophe. Yes! I thought, a week-Ing Partay me. Imagine my horror when only a few hours later came the all too familiar flashing orange lights of an AA truck through the curtains with the smoldering remains of the camper on the back. He was very serious because this time it was fire in the parking lot of Swansea Leisure Centre caught. Fortunately, the young French are brave was succeeded in the flames with a shaken bottle of lemonade as a makeshift fire extinguisher, (a handy trick to remember) and so prevents delete an inferno. The poor old camper looked rather sad, but with blackened air intakes and a fade between other distributors and other holiday was cut cruelly short.

I am pleased to say however that the latest generation of VW camper is about as far from the aforementioned nightmares of yesterday, as you can get. California is the latest incarnation and recently checked out one that’s business. With a performance such as cars and luxury interiors, you can easily move the rest of your days languishing away in one of them.

Some say they do not have the soul of the old VW air cooled. While there are some die-hards spend the hours removing rust from their beloved cars can occur in many North Devon in the summer months to keep all the traffic!

But after the story about stories, I know what I will go. Do not take my word for it, but there are many specialized centers VW Van that you in the right direction.
