Is a product still covered by a warranty if I didn’t purchase it?
Question : Is a product still covered by a warranty if I didn’t purchase it?
I bought a product from a distributor (Home Depot) which might be defective, so I contacted the maker and they sent me a new unit. The item I purchased from Home Depot had no warranty. Only a 90-day return policy. The unit that I received directly from the maker is labeled as having a 5-year warranty, but I since I did not purchase this product, is it still covered?
home warranty policies

It is covered by the manufacturer, not Home Depot so if something goes wrong with that one, you have to contact the manufacturer. Where if you had one through Home Depot, you could just bring it back to them. And Also the manufacturer’s usually only covers certain things, instead of Home Depot which would cover more problems that might occur.
