Black Mold – Texas Mold Assessment & Remediation Rules?
Question : Black Mold – Texas Mold Assessment & Remediation Rules?
Back in 2004 entered into a lease/option contract to purchase a home. On the “Real Estate Disclosure” seller recorded, “Also this house was mold remediated over two ago by a company the previous owner hired. To the best of our knowledge the mold remediation was successful, we have seen no evidence of mold.” Can anyone tell if seller is required by law to provide copy of remediation certificate that was issued for this property? I have reason to believe previous seller sold house “as is” to present seller and mold remediation may not have been done.

the house seems 2 be changing hands 2 much.. i don’t think i would chance it because mold is dangerous 2 your health.. even seeing the paper now, would not satisfy me, seeing that the cleaning up was done over 2 years ago.. if you really want the house, maybe getting your own inspector 2 ease your mind..
