Is there a low-income home-buying program in Xenia, Ohio?
Question : Is there a low-income home-buying program in Xenia, Ohio?
Where I live now, there is a government program called the self-help housing program that helps low-income families to buy their own homes by giving them a low-interest loan, putting them through financial classes, ect. I was wondering if there was a similar program in Xenia, Ohio. If so, who do I contact? Thank you so much in advance!
The type of loan I am referring to is not through a bank, it is through the USDA’s 502 loan.

Xenia and neighboring cities have “bond money” programs to help citizens buy a house. There is only enuf money to help 20 people so the money is gone in 1 day. You never get any advance notice of the program so watch the newspaper.
The only problem is that you must repay the money if you sell within 7 years. Almost everyone does sell in 7 years altho they think they won’t.
